The race weekend in Kitzbühel has officially started. At the “Radlkino,” participants, partners, and sponsors came together to celebrate the kick-off.

Right on time with SOLD OUT status, the race weekend begins in the most legendary sports town of the Alps. Organizers Marina Janda and Franz Steinberger are thrilled: “We’re excited to welcome over 1,500 participants from 26 nations. It’s an incredible feeling to be sold out for the first time this year. The weather gods are smiling on us, and everything else is going according to plan.”

Present at today’s kick-off were race director Andreas Werlberger of KitzSki, Jürgen Kleinhappl, head of culinary at the Harisch Hotels, as well as former professional cyclist and KRM ambassador Andy Schleck. Mayor Klaus Winkler and Ludwig Götzendorfer from the Kitzbühel Tourism Board also made sure not to miss the race’s kick-off in person.

The “Radlkino” is an interactive open-air cinema (in the courtyard of the District Authority), organized by the town of Kitzbühel to mark the start of the Kitzbüheler Radmarathon. The special feature: the energy required for the cinema equipment is generated by the audience themselves while pedaling during the movie experience. So come by and help generate some energy for a few minutes! Everyone can join in.
